A few kilometers away from Milan, Como and its famous lake are some of the greatest destinations in Northern Italy. Lake of Como is of glacial origin and is the second largest Italian lake for surface, as well as the deepest one in Europe. The city of Como is famous for its lovely old town and shopping boutiques. The city if full of artistic monuments built in different ages, as an example the Cathedral of Como is one of the most important buildings in the region and is considered the last Gothic cathedral built in Italy. In the surroundings there are many opportunities for a one-day trip: Milan, the city of fashion, design and Leonardo da Vinci; the town of Bellagio, located on a charming peninsula right in the middle of the lake; also close is Monte Rosa, the second highest mountain in the Alps and western Europe, after Mont Blanc.

How to get there?
By train
There are three railway lines that connect Milan and the city of Como in less than one hour.
Milan Malpensa airport is also connected by train with Como, you have just to change train in Saronno.
